A kitchen designer in the commercial sector must be well-versed in the needs of the facility of the kitchen and fully understand the staffing needs necessary to execute that institution’s vision. Residential kitchen designers typically need at least a bachelor’s degree in architecture and relevant experience in the field. Commercial designers, meanwhile, must have expertise in culinary designs and the needs of commercial kitchens.
