Now you see it, now you don’t! Miniki is the solution to an old problem. In small apartments where the kitchen and lounge are often one room, there is a need for the kitchen to disappear after use. Miniki is the first kitchen system that transforms into an elevated sideboard after use. Three different basic modules are available (mk1, mk2, mk3) to match all individual requirements. These modules can be combined to suit all tastes and so provide the perfect kitchen for all purposes. There are kitchens for all requirements – from the mini-kitchen with just one sink and some storage room for small offices to kitchenettes with, for instance, a fridge and two cooking zones, or a fully equipped eat-in kitchen with the full range of functions. Leave space to make space When planning cabinets for a small kitchen, using the full height of the room ensures that every inch is put to good use. But, sometimes leaving an empty space will give you more room to store things like large serving dishes or paella pans that don’t fit in the cabinets. And the extra bit of worktop can also be used for small appliances or as a stand-off area for cooling a big tray of muffins or a bowl of rising dough. More kitchen room ideas

Building a small kitchen island Most small kitchens have a traditional L-shape to maximise floor space. But here we sacrificed a bit of floor space to build an island that maximises cooking space instead. The island is built using two 80cm cabinets back to back and two 30cm cabinets on either side of the oven. The work top is custom-cut to fit the island and has pre-cut holes for the large hob and sink. And, to make the kitchen even more flexible we added a rolling trolley, which gives you extra workspace wherever you need it. More work tops More kitchen islands & trolleys

Your walls can give you a helping hand If you’ve ever cooked a big complicated meal you’ll know that there just isn’t time enough to dig through drawers to find the cheese grater. Open shelves and rails keep all of your frequently used cooking tools within arms reach and easy to find, so you can concentrate on your soufflé. And in a small kitchen, rails help maximise space by putting normally empty walls to work. More wall storage More rails

The Pedini DUNE curved island kitchen has a wonderful organic quality about it, and you don’t have to place this kitchen up against a wall. DUNE is defined by asymmetrically curved base units echoing flowing forms found in nature. No handles, opening is achieved by a groove on the edge of the extra thick 23mm front panel (base units).
